It was behind the University down around where the Royal Infirmary used to in the area where I was born.

Correct but not to do with a mad hatter.

59. tea drinker precipice = A TEA CLIFF

Which assembles as "Attercliffe"

In a previous similar version of this quiz which I saw years ago (late 1980's) the corresponding clue was

X. Where the sea ends

Answer = AT A CLIFF

Again, it assembles as "Attercliffe"

Hey I've gone back into teacher mode!!! :o

Why am I explaining all this? :huh:

I'm rubbish at cryptic clues and this sort of thing, - I can't even finish a crossword puzzle :(

Not my quizl thats why I puy the link to the original source.

No Pickle, Millsands, Salmon Pastures, Brocco, Cabbage Alley, Truelove's Gutter, Mrs Miggins Pie Shoppe - I didn't read it all, just put it up for your amusement (hopefully) - could we do an updated/backdated version ??
