Hello there!

When i was a young lad i used to live on Murdoch road with my dad, i moved away from the Parson Cross area many years ago but have some great memories. Does anyone know what happened to Murdoch road and why most of Parson Cross has been demolished with very few new houses being built?

Many thanks.

Murdoch Road is the CORRECT spelling and NOT Murdock Road .

I lived just around the corner on Adlington Road and passed Murdoch Road

on my way to school , Southey Green Secondary school for ten years every day.

I used to take a particular interest in street names , as I was pretty good at spelling.

I can't help butI wonder why it is Murdock Road (Launce Rd. to Falstaff Rd.) in the 1965 street directory?

Circa 1950.
