Then Thank you.

The Soldier's Rendezvous 41 West Bar can always be moved if we find it's just a pub name change

and not a new one.

Classed under beerhouse from White's 1845:

Jessop Wm. (Raven) 12 Fitzwm. st

Ward Wm. (Balloon) 83 Trippet ln.

As those are the only named pubs in the beerhouse listing from the 1845 Whites, is the cross referencing of address' enough proof of an owner?

For instance (just at random):

Lyall Thomas, 8 Sussex street is listed.

If I search the index for '8 Sussex' I find:

Gas Tank Inn

Address 8 Sussex Street

Open

Thoughts?

Actually and even more annoyingly some of those listed as just 'beerhouse' in the trades section of some of my early directories are listed with the pub name in the alphabetical names section, grrrrr.

Congratulations Richard, you've bagged a first known keeper there !

I appreciate it will take longer, however, if we've waited 150 years a few more days won't matter much.

Thank you for your effort Richard. A MASSIVE contribution.

I'll go along with that, I've found one or two myself in this way in which it says it's a beer house but

under more scrutiny it turns out to have a title to the house but whether it's licenced as such . . ?
