Went to St Maries on the corner of Edmund Rd ( I think thats where it was), Its been demolished these many years now though. I wonder if any one else remembers it. The headmistress was a nun, Sister Mary Dennis, and there were several other nuns who taught there as well. I wonder if anyone has any pictures (crosses fingers). Well I can always hope!! :) :)

I'd like to bet that I'm the only one on here who went to Wellfield Comprehensive.....Wingate, County Durham.

The only exciting thing about the place was that the, then head, a bloke called Mc Cue, claimed to once have auditioned for the role of James Bond when Moore got it.

If I had to have a Sheffield school though, I would have liked to have gone to Notre Dame..for no other reason than I was working up there the other day and they do nice coffee on reception.....and if you smile nicely at the lady on the desk, she'll let you pinch one of her biscuits......I had the jammy dodger while my mate was straight in to the bourbons...like he'd never been fed!!.

Thank you Syrup and Steve for the photos, someone always comes up with the goods!!. Now I can spend a while trying to remember which window belongs which classroom. Must be almost 50 years (gulp) since I saw St Maries and the photos certainly brings back some memories. Thanks again :) :)

I also went to Colley 1975-1981 - has the college now been closed & demolished ? Another housing development?
