Concreted Area In Bingham Park.

Just through the gate on Bingham Park Crescent,following the pathway down behind the houses there is a concreted area @ 10' x 6'.Anyone any idea what it was for ?

There used to be a park keepers hut for the pitch and putt course.

Or is it the path to the right and down through the wood to Stainton Rd, the base just above the trees? If that's the one you mean it was the base for a bench, though the bench disappeared decades ago, (probably around the same time the view disappeared behind the trees!) There was a topic about it on here quite a while ago.

I can't bring to mind the gate you mention. But here's a 1950s map - possibly the Lavs?

I think that's the part.It's not Bingham Park Crescent-it's Bingham Park Road- Thought it might have been something more interesting.

I remember the pavilion for the pitch & putt.Think it got burnt down.
