hilldweller
I wonder if our good friend from up Loxley Bottoms has seen the planning application to convert the old Blonk Street urinal into a two storey cafe ? The planning application is 14/04235/FUL It details a plan to add a second storey to the structure in a contrasting modern metal structure and to provide first and second floor cantilevered balconies over the junction of the Rivers Don and Sheaf. There's no mention in the application of the internal stone carving but as it's a grade two listed building, it's to be hoped that it will remain in place, (but then perhaps not ). tozzin
If the integrity of the building is kept including the internal features, like the coat of arms that's there, it's better being a Cafe/take away than just left to disintergrate, Ron Clayton seems optimistic about it.
