Little bit of information from Amazon suggests that this is not the actual database itself, as it is only 12 pages, so either, we are even more tight fisted in Sheffield than I ever thought, or this is merely a resume-analysis of that database.

Paperback: 12 Pages

Publishers: Perpetuity Press (December 1991)

£345.23 PLUS £2.80 P+P from the Phatpocket Book Shoppe, [now there is a name open to mispronunciation and deservedly so]. lol

A lot of money for a 12 page publication, but it does beg the question as to where is the actual database itself, and is it accessible? <_<

ps - wonder if it is a one off dissertation for a PhD maybe? <_<

..and its an ex library book, so will have been bought for about 25p.

A better bet for Sheffield Bank details is the database on the Sheffield and District Family History website, giving details of savers at the Sheffield and Hallam Bank. It includes mothers maiden name which I found useful for tracking relatives. As an example there are 6700 people by the name of Smith listed.

sdfhs Sheffield and Hallam Bank Register
