Hi all I am looking for information from local newspapers during 1914-18 especially photos or write ups about 16918 private Thomas Parkin of the ~East Yorkshire Regiment. He was wounded in the thigh by shrapnel in September 1916 resulting in the amputation of his leg. he was discharged in 1917. I am a medal collector and have just acquired his 1914-15 Star. I would be grateful for any assistance you can give me regarding obtaining any photo`s or write ups about Thomas Parkin "born 1890" according to his military record file, which also states he lived at Lovell Street, Attercliffe. Best regards Jim Mitchell.
