Gordon crapper Posted October 18, 2014 Share Posted October 18, 2014 Does anyone remember a team which played on the ground surrounded by the Darnall Greyhound Racing Track at the top of Poole Road? My father took me to an evening match there about 1947 or 1948 which I think was a benefit match for the Derbyshire player George Pope, and at least one other Derbyshire player was in the team, Stan Worthington. My memory says that the team was Darnall Wellington, but at my age that is not reliable! I can't find anything about it online. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
