Hi,

It's my first post here on the forum and I hope some of you good folk may be able to help me a bit!

I'm doing some family research and I know my father (John Prest) lived at 562 Coleridge Rd (now demolished of course) in the 1950s. At the time this was the local Newsagent, run by my grandparents (Richard & Jessie Prest). Richard died long before I was born and Jessie and my father have been passed for some years now, so I have nobody in the family to speak to about this time period.

Does anybody remember the newsagent or any of the Prest family?

I've seen a few photos of Coleridge Rd, but not of this area of the street. Does anybody happen to know if/where they may be any?

Love to hear from anyone who can help or remembers the family!

Richard

Thanks for the map and the extra information. Looks like it was a newsagents for many years, which might make it easier to locate a photo of the building!
