Can anyone remember the cluster of houses in and around this area . I was born in one of these houses 4 court 1 Pitsmoor Rd in 1938 .I would be grateful if anyone could supply me any of these addresses in this area .I have seen the map of Tower Hill , it gives addresses 114 .116. 118 Pitsmoor Rd .It is the little cluster of houses to the rear of 114 .116.118 that I am really trying find the addresses of .I would be very grateful if someone could provide me with any information surrounding these .On the Tower Hill map it shows a number 4 court but it does not actually show the numbers 4 court 1 , 4 court 2 , 4 court 3 , 4 court 4 . It is

the exact position of 4 court 1 that I am wanting to find out .Hope someone can be of help .

I am extremely interested in the EXACT position of number 117 Pitsmoor Rd

as well as number 4 court 1 Pitsmoor Rd .

It does not give these addresses on the street map of Tower House .

Wonder if someone could direct me towards a street map with this information .

It is extremely important to me .

I must confess that having travelled down Pitsmoor Road by bus, by tram and by car , on an almost daily basis from the late 40's to the early 80's I cannot remember the Tower.

Iysander if you were travelling say towards town and just approaching where the Marshall Tavern had stood you would be only 50 yards from the Tower on your left hand side ,you were very close .

Thanks for your Input Edmund of 5 Tower Hill (Thomas Duff ) .neddy has done some research for me and given addresses in the Tower Hill complex , of them their are numbers 1 to 10 .If you have read the main topic Tower House someone called jolow said their dad lived with his grandparents Robert Duff and Georgina Duff at number 117 Pitsmoor Rd .Well neddy tracked this address to the opposite side of Pitsmoor Rd below the Marshall Tavern , so it is an incorrect address .So I reckon the Duffs (Robert and Georgina ) lived somewhere between No's 1 and 10 .I now want to pinpoint the Duffs house and my birthplace 4 court 1 Pitsmoor Rd .There are 2 maps in this topic showing 114 my grandparents house and No'4 court but it does'nt show 4 court 1 which I need .How can we come up with a map showing these addresses ?

Hiya neddy and Edmund I do hope both of you have logged into this topic again so I can really thank you

and show my appreciation for the research you have done for me .

When I first posted on the Tower House topic I didn't expect much response at all from the people of the

1940's / 1950's era .

What I didn't expect was someone of your expertise to get involved .

The information I required I reckoned was asking a great deal from both of you , as it had been a

mystery to me for many years .

You have tracked down for me the two houses and exact positions 4 court 1 Pitsmoor Rd my

birthplace and the Duff's house .

I needed this information so I could post on the forum 'Castle at Pitsmoor ' topic .
