Sausage Maker or Filler Circular 1910 or thereabouts that was manufactured by The Silent Machine Co Sheffield which is cast into both sides of the Stand and has Swift cast also to the Cylinder that is Ideal for Display or Use.

I'm not about to eat bangers made in this thing !

1914 Company proprietors were Thomas W. Ward Ltd. Sausage machine makers. Specialities: meat cutting machinery, sausage fillers.

Ten pictures of sausage based joy !

Red and white sausage stuffer, model DL14 - no serial number. Known as "The Ward Swift Sausage Machine".

Label in image 3 says: "Sole manufacturers. The Silent Machine & Eng. Co. Albion Works, Saville st. Prop: - Thos. W. Ward Ltd. Tel. 26311 Sheffield 4. Model DL 14."

I stayed at the Crooklands Hotel near Kendal this weekend. They had a Silent Machine Co. sausage making machine in the bar area. The full English breakfast included Cumberland sausages, but they may not have been made using this equipment...
