pollyg
Ida Margaretta Robertson, probably known as Margaret, was my great aunt. Born in Sheffield in 1895 she lived with her parents and sister in the Ecclesall Road. She apparently got into trouble with a (Canadian?) serviceman during WWI and was banished from the family home. She may have got pregnant and been institutionalised - or maybe she married and lived happily ever after! I would love to know what became of her, and trace any descendants. pollyg
Apologies Richard, I didn't see your reply on the site until now! Her parents were William Francis Henry Harle Robertson and Elizabeth Margaret (nee Gittins or Gittings). I am about to write to the Sheffield NHS record people to try to find whether Ida Margaretta might have ended up in an institution as I still can't identify a marriage or death. All I have is her birth certificate and 1901 & 1911 census records.
