vox
Edwin Jagger "Edwin Jagger was founded in 1988 by Neil Jagger, who named it after his grandfather. His 22 employees make everything from badger bristle brushes to bowls and shaving creams, but the stars of the show are the razors. The DE89 is his most popular - and least expensive - and some of his more ornate designs (with weightier, horn or etched-chrome handles) sell for more than £60." Telegraph Article Doesn't look like they make the blades though.
hilldweller
I'm not sure if any of these are Sheffield companies ! http://www.traditionalshaving.co.uk/en/270334-Razor-Blades Having nothing better to do I've just clicked on each of these packs and can confirm that none of them are made in Britain, never mind Sheffield. I have mentioned before that in a previous job I was a member of the Gillette razor testing panel. We were supplied with blades made by Gillette plants in Britain, Germany and India. The ones in German packaging were marked "Made in England", the British packaged ones were marked "Made in West Germany". All the blades were made with Stocksbridge rolled steel. The Indian blades were carbon steel and would take your face off if you tried to use them twice. We also supplied hundreds of tonnes of finished packaged copper-flashed steel welding wire marked "Oerlikon Made in Switzerland". HD
tozzin
Razor blades, flat fellas, not plastic stuff ... ? Swan Morton bought out a firm on Penistone Rd around 12 years ago who made Razor Blades as well as Stanley Blades, I dont know if they continued production after the take over even though the firm is still open and producing goods.
