The late Jeffrey Chapman, sometime Sheffield Councillor and lecturer in town planning at the old Poly was writing a book whose working title was 'Sheffield the City that never was'. This dealt with all the rejected proposals for development in the City ...including new stations,an underground railway as well as a floating heliport. Sadly, when he died the manuscript was lost....It would have made a fascinating read.
