ukelele lady
It's possible these are one of the same , both with the same address. In 1841 it was named Blue Boar , 16 Cross Burgess Street In 1862 and after it was named Cross Keys , 16 Cross Burgess Street.

ukelele lady
Any match with keepers surname(s) please ? There's a surname Cross 1828 at Blue Boar and appears at the Cross Keys much later in 1876. The dates of the Blue Boar finish at 1852 and the dates for the Cross Keys start at 1854, to me this sounds like a continuation of the same pub under another name. I was looking through the street directorys in the local studies which addresses them both the same 16 Cross Burgess Street.
RichardS
1853 map shows Blue Boar, the building has gone on the next one I looked at (1890).

The last date we have for 16 Cross Burgess Street is 1879 so it probably was demolished between then and 1890. It's the change of name I'm trying to confirm from Blue Boar to Cross Keys sometime between 1852 to 1854. I think that is what happened looking at the address books.
