Is number 1 looking over the bottom of Duke Street ?

No vox, #01 is looking over Sheaf Strret, with the bottom of Commercial Strret and the Rag &Tag in view,

Exchange Strret in the background.

Looks like they are stood at the top of Granville Hill.

Number 03 is overlooking Sheaf Street from Granville Strreet,

Ponds Forge works is in the foreground view.

#02 could be on Granville Street.

Girl with pistol!!!! :blink::unsure:

Never heard of it?

What year was the film released?

Who is in it?

What is it about?

The title suggests it is about a girl with a lethal weapon, - but there must be more of a story to it than that.

So, 1968 then

The film is about some hothead Italian mafiosa type woman who tracks down the lover that done her wrong, with a gun, to , errr, emmm, well, Sheffield of all places (seems a heck of a long way to track someone down all the way from Sicilly, and a strange place to go, not Rome or Naples then!)

Hey, - they expect US to provide them with "NOW" shots to go with their "THEN" stills shots from the film.

They are asking the right people then, we are the experts at local "then & now" pictures, even The Star copied our lead in this field.

Pictures 8 and 9. Could they be in the area of the old Neepsend Station. I think there was a bridge over the Woodhead line, not sure if its stil there.

You could be right, I was living on Rutland road at the time and remember someone in the pub saying that a film was being shot on Parkwood Springs, one of them got paid to move out of their house while they used it for interior shots.

Location confirmed by neddy.

That looks like the one, the steps are leading down to Neepsend Station site, with Farfield Road beyond the bridge, they painted the walls black on either side of the steps, a mystery solved for me thanks SteveHB

that would have been my great grandad's house, he lived at 165 Wallace Road and they moved out for a while into a house on Pickering Road while the house was used for filming

Pictures 9 & 10 are definately what we used to refer to as "the sation steps" which any one who walked to Hillfoot school should recognise.

They did paint the walls black for the film and they left them that way too.

The station was still there in 1949 when I started at Hillfoot From the age of 5 to 14 [ I went to Chaucer for my last school year] on school days I climbed those steps twice daily. I remember being taken by my mum on the first day, then after that we all would meet up and walk together, not a parent in sight. W/E.

I also walked these steps from 1962 to 1970 when I also went to Chaucer. I walked with my brother who was all of 2 years older than me and don't ever remember being taken by an adult. I loved the sound when we kids all walked over the brige.

i lived at 38,pickering road from 1953 till 1974...........i vividly remember watching some of the filming and being moved on once or twice,as we were in view of the cameras............we spent all day hanging around as it was the school holidays august 1967.............but the best memmory is of a gang of us walking to a match at hillsborough,....sheff wed v leicester city august 23rd wednesday evening..........we often walked up wallace road then down to farfield road, then onto club mill road and came out at the back of the speedway track at owlerton.............but this particular evening as we trundled up wallace road,we passed a black limosine parked near to the top of wallace road.............the window slowly wound down and a deep scouser accent bellowed out.''......you'll lose tonight lads...''............we turned round and saw antony booth's smiling face beaming at us........i know we instantly replied but cannot remember what we said.........i dont think that we swore .......i just think we sang something like....''liverpool are crap''.........or we just booed him........................anyway we won 2-1,so he really knew nothing aboot football...........i seem to remember that there was about 12 of us but cannot remember who was with me for definate............but i am sure the following names were there.............david cooper, clifford shaw, melvyn strutt, wilfy mills, eric boocock, trevor wakelin, david loxley, stephen hibberd, paul rawlings....ect......ect.............picture no 2 is of the acual house they filmed in on wallace road
